About

Greetings! I'm a member of the statistics department teaching faculty and an advisor. I received my BA in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma in 2017 and my Masters in Statistics at CSU in 2019. My focus is developing and teaching STAT 100: Statistical Literacy, a new course that fulfills the quantitative reasoning general education requirement for all CSU students.

I'm particularly interested in statistics pedagogy as it relates to DEIJ issues and classroom strategies that encourage quantitative confidence. My goal is to create a community of students who embrace statistics as a set of valuable life skills. I currently serve on the department's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) committee and the College of Natural Sciences Dean's DEIJ Advisory Committee.

I'm also the coordinator of the statistics department tutoring center, working with undergraduate tutors and graduate teaching assistants to create a welcoming environment for all students in our introductory statistics courses. I also do related work for the Provost's Student Success Initiative. My primary role in the initiative is to improve student success through tutoring across the university.

In my spare time, I do calculus for fun, read all the books, cook all the food, and dance like a maniac.
