Dr. Ander Wilson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics at Colorado State University and a faculty member in CSU’s Partnership on Air Quality, Climate, and Health (PACH). His research develops statistical methods and software for complex environmental health data, with the goal of understanding how exposure to air pollution, wildfire smoke, extreme heat, metals, and environmental chemicals affects human health. Much of his work focuses on identifying critical windows of susceptibility during pregnancy and early childhood, estimating the health effects of environmental mixtures, and heterogeneity in the effects of environmental exposures.

Dr. Wilson is the Principal Investigator of an NIH/NIEHS R01 on statistical methods for precision environmental health with mixture exposures. He is also a co-investigator on several other NIH- and NSF-funded projects, including studies of wildfire smoke, heat, and cardiovascular health and of air pollution and pregnancy outcomes. He collaborates widely with epidemiologists, clinicians, environmental health scientists, engineers, and data scientists.
